Code of ethics to check malpractices and plagiarism in research

Being an affiliated college, all our research activities are governed and monitored by the Ph. D. Cell and Research and Recognition Committee of S G B Amravati University, Amravati. The college requires its teachers and students to abide by the highest standards of integrity in their conduct of academic research and/or support to academic research activities, which include the following:

The research students and faculty members engaged in research activities should be in tune with the needs and problems of the local, national and international community and their research outcomes should address these issues.
Research projects involving human and animal participants for research must adhere to the Animal Ethics Committee.
Health and Hazard Safety guidelines for biological and chemicals should be followed strictly.
The students shall be responsible for independent thinking and providing of clear references to all sources consulted.
Every research student must conduct his/her research activities according to the plan and instructions given by the Supervisor. Disregarding supervisory authority is a serious issue.
The faculty members shall be responsible to provide guidance and support regarding academic skills to the students in all the aspects of learning.
Plagiarism is prohibited in all its forms. . Plagiarism takes many forms viz. â€œpassing offâ€ someone elseâ€™s paper as oneâ€™s own, copying or paraphrasing substantial parts of othersâ€™ work without due acknowledgement, and claiming credit for othersâ€™ research.
